The Gallery CG art to inspire For this project, my aim was to tell a story through this composition, which opened up several possibilities for interpretation. I also had a time constraint and had to use only the elements provided in the original image. This image represents everyday life, with this character in the kitchen doing the dishes. I had to keep this approach to get the message across. The girl is looking out of the window, and I thought she might be pensive as she washed. That's how I came up with the idea of turning the image into a memory. Paul Hatton replies In Blender, smoke simulations are a subset of the Fluid system. They generate animated voxel textures that represent the smoke, and can subsequently be used for rendering the final results. To create a smoke simulation, you need both a Flow object and a Domain object. The Flow object acts as the emitter and the Domain object contains the smoke particles. It's important to keep in mind that the smoke can't escape out of the Domain. When it reaches the boundary of the Domain it will either collide with the boundary or disappear, depending on your settings. It can be tempting to think that a huge Domain is therefore the answer, but the bigger the Domain the higher the resolution required and therefore the longer the bake time.…

01 ADD YOUR MULTI-PART EXR INTO NUKE This tutorial was created within Nuke 14 and is aimed at new users. When the scene is rendered, the EXR files can be selected within a system window and then dragged directly into the Node Graph of a new Nuke Comp Scene. At first I intended to create a simple animation in a realistic genre that would convey the atmosphere of the beginning of a work day: a desk by the window, trees outside, sun shining, the camera smoothly zooming in on a laptop, a cup of coffee entering the frame with steam rising from it, and a message popping up saying, ‘time to get to work’. 01 GET SET UP With the default cube selected, go to Object>Quick Effects and select Quick Smoke. This will create a Smoke Domain object that will act as the container for your smoke. Change the size settings for this object so that it encompasses the entirety of where you want the smoke to move into. 01 START FROM THE HIPS Use basic primitives to build up your robot. If this is for concept art you may never need to go more detailed than that. Start with a shape for the hips, then add an abdomen and chest, and drop one inside the other in a chain.
