QI have an interesting metal “double-dog lamp” that has been sitting in a basement for decades. My mother schemed to repair the piece as a surprise for my father. To my horror, she began the cleaning process by scrubbing it with a wet toothbrush. I pleaded with her to seek a better way; she scoffed and scrubbed harder! My only recourse was to remove the lamp to an undisclosed location. Do you have any idea as to the age and make of the lamp? The electric fixture is labeled “BRYANT” patent dated November 26, 1907. DALLAS – A flurry of competitive bidding by nearly two dozen people pushed a vintage video game to a new world record. An ultra-rare copy of Mega Man from the game’s first production run got a final price of $75,000 at a recent Heritage Auctions’ sale, and is now the world record holder for the most valuable sealed video game ever sold at auction. The game led an assortment of more than 300 video games sold in the auction. BEVERLY HILLS – At a recent Heritage Auctions sale offering a “Disney Renaissance” of more than 1,800 lots of animation art, a “Haunted Mansion” painting from 1969 was the star lot after selling for $57,600.
