The tendency of the world to embrace bipolarism seems to have engulfed car design as well, especially from a European perspective. On the one hand, we have Chinese makers with a myriad of brands, ranging from large groups to startups: ever more determined to create their own aesthetic and formal image, although we haven't yet seen the end of cloning (see the last Shanghai Motor Show, p. 2).
In western countries, on the other hand, manufacturers never miss the chance to delve into their origins even when designing the future, especially when it comes to concept cars.
