Chasing the Moon

Alessio says: “It took 100 shots, taken over the course of 90 minutes, to capture the movement of the Moon against the stars in the background. It was a real challenge but the end result was more than worth it. I had to make sure that the telescope was perfectly tracking the Moon at each shot and, because of the unusual star trails, I had to align the frames manually rather than with automatic tools.”
Equipment: Canon EOS 5D camera, TS Optics 80/480mm apo refractor, Sky-Watcher HEQ5 mount
