Terry says: “The Horsehead Nebula is one of the most beautiful objects in the night sky. In this Hubble Palette version, created with narrowband filters, the Sulphur (SII) wavelength is mapped to the red channel, the Hydrogen-alpha (Ha) is mapped to green and the Oxygen (OIII) is mapped to blue. While the colours aren’t the true colours, the narrowband filters reveal more of the hidden gasses not seen in a visible light image.”
