The Contemporary Geometric Beadwork (CGB) team began in Tucson in 2010, when Dustin Wedekind and I decided to take on some of the outstanding challenges in handsewn beadwork. We were enchanted with the more daring geometric beadwork being made, and we wanted to find novel ways to take familiar bead stitches in new directions. We decided that the best way to explore our new ideas was not in isolation, but in collaboration. We began publishing our ideas, questions, and efforts on our blog in advance of the publication of our first book. Slowly, a global team grew. Today, there are hundreds of thousands of people around the world collaborating with us.
