Dream bikes, super bikes, halo bikes, pro replicas. Call them what you want, but these road bikes have one thing in common: They’re ultraexpensive. What’s the deal?
For one, people buy them. Maybe not you, and maybe not in great numbers—about 450 Colnago C60s are sold in the US per year compared with an estimated 5,000 Giant Contend 1’s (about 40,000 worldwide, says Giant).
