The way you turn the pedals directly affects the amount of power you put out. Torquing your upper body as you stomp the pedals wastes watts. These lightning-fast efforts will give you a fluid and efficient pedal stroke and cadence. Pedal as hard as you can for 10 seconds in a gear you can push 90 to 110 rpm with effort, and then spin easy for 20 seconds. Repeat for 10 to 15 minutes. Rest five minutes. Do another set.
