Unako Khala sustained injuries when 20-year-old Asanda Makazula allegedly poured water on him to stop him from playing with her gate in Settlers, Langa, on June 24. THE National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has announced that students whose statuses were “pending decisions” have now been assessed, and the outcome is reflected on their profile on the NSFAS portal. NSFAS said that students who were funded will be reflected on the funding list, while those who were rejected could lodge appeals with the correct supporting documentation. “It should be noted that if the appeal option button is not available on the student’s profile, it means that the application has been declined and closed due to reasons that cannot be appealed. SEVERAL former staff members of private ambulance service ResQ 911 have accused their ex-employer Avron Shane Poggenpoel of dismissing staff just before they were due to complete probation despite having promised to employ them permanently. London: The BBC said yesterday it had suspended a male member of staff following allegations that one of its presenters paid a teenager thousands of pounds for sexually explicit photos. A PUPIL injured in the AZ Berman Drive scholar transport crash has died in Groote Schuur hospital after being there for more than a month. THERE has been a massive increase in the number of vehicles impounded and fines issued by the City’s law enforcement team with regards to illegal dumping on public open spaces around the municipality. In the period July 2022 to March 2023, the City says it saw an increase of 181% when compared with the previous year.
