SPORTS, Arts and Culture Minister Zizi Kodwa on Wednesday tendered his resignation with immediate effect.
Kodwa, who is facing corruption charges, informed President Cyril Ramaphosa that he was stepping down as a Cabinet minister.
His spokesperson, Litha Mpondwana, said Kodwa expressed his sincere appreciation to the president and the governing party for the opportunity to have served the nation.
“He also takes the opportunity to express thanks to all the staff at the Ministry and Department of Sports, Arts and Culture for the opportunity to serve with them, and to all stakeholders in Sports, Arts and Culture with whom he has worked so well as minister,” Mpondwana said.
