GETTING THERE: Cape Hillsborough NP lies 50km north of Mackay on the Central Queensland coast, about 1025km north of Brisbane via the Bruce Hwy, Seaforth and Cape Hillsborough Roads. Gravel roads within the park are suitable for 2WD vehicles.
BEST TIME TO VISIT: Winters are mild and summers are warm to hot with heavy rain from December to March. Marine stingers can occur throughout the year but are most common from October to May, so wear stinger suits when swimming or wading during this time.
