In time, she’d experimented with make-up, jewellery, fitted clothing… Icouldn’t have been more proud of my son Alex.
Aged 16, he’d just been appointed Head Boy at school and I was thrilled.
‘Well done, love,’ I told him. A quiet boy, he was different from most lads his age.
He wasn’t one for chasing a football around a pitch.
‘Don’t want to get dirty,’ he’d moan.
