THE HEIGHT OF GOLF
You might expect the highest golf course in the country to be in the Drakensberg, but you’d need to go further north to reach the top of this list. Highland Gate (above), located in Dullstroom, sits above all other courses at 2150m (7 054 feet) above sea level. It’s no wonder the Ernie Els-designed layout stretches to over 6 700m from the tips, considering how far you hit the ball at this altitude.
FEAST IN THE EAST
