Every magazine I put together is a journey. Every issue has its own energy. Some, I spend a lot of time working out what events to cover, riders to profile, stories to tell. Others flow easily, and stories feel like they materialise out of nowhere. It’s a creative process, and I try not to be over-controlling with it. I find if I leave space in the process, it allows for the unexpected, which is what keeps the magazine fresh and interesting. Some issues I’ll write stories from my perspective, do the research, talk to the subject, or just let the words flow from my experience of being at an event, spectating or racing myself.
