We caught up with one of the head honchos behind the project, Sepp Mächler, to get the lowdown on this new Bavarian bullet, how it came about and what it’s really like…
FB: Firstly, tell us the thought process behind the M RR. Was it always on the cards, or was it built on the basis of race results?
SM: It was built both on the demand for racing, but also the ideas which support racing. For example it needs to be the perfect base to start from for World SBK and all the national race series in terms of chassis, ratio, suspension, more HP, Winglets, and for the first time ever, an M Brake.
