The original seven deadly sins were lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy and pride. Although I’m sure they weren’t originally aimed at recreational fishos, I don’t think there would be a fisho born that hasn’t been a bit envious at some stage of the huge barra, jewie or snapper that their best mate had landed and I know plenty that have earned the wrath of a fellow angler for missing a net or gaff shot on a big fish, too.
