Full, Chamber And Quartet String Sizes
With string parts, one size doesn’t always fit all. Before turning, by default, to a full symphonic sound, might a more intimate ensemble work better? Do you need a ‘full’ string section in your track or could something smaller and more intimate provide an ear-catching sound? Strings are associated with being rich and lush but only because we tend to think of using the full complement of players from violins, through violas, to cellos and double basses. String quartets (one each of violin 1, violin 2, viola and cello), as well as Chamber sized string orchestras are available.
