Few conscious labels have impacted the international fashion scene with the buzz and attention of Maggie Marilyn, the eponymous label from 22-year-old Auckland graduate Maggie Hewitt, launched in late 2016. Melodic chanting drifts on the breeze as we stroll through the historic central Bhutan township of Trongsa. Plant-powered smoothies are full of goodness. This one is thirstquenching as well as a great way to inject more greens into your day, and you'll find its vibrant colour irresistible. The word “adventure” brings to mind thrill-seeking activities like bungee jumping, but adventure is much broader than that. Being adventurous represents anything you do that pushes you outside your comfort zone. Dave Williams, 31, has always had a passion for the outdoors and is currently midway through a challenge that he set himself – Sea2Summit7. His goal is to become the first person to climb the highest mountain in each continent from the nearest feasible coastline. Eoin Finn, founder of blissology yoga, remembers his first “bliss” moment. He was six years old and in the wilderness in Canada. You will need · Scissors · Sandpaper · Masking tape · Wooden frame with frame inner (we found ours at an op shop) · Resene testpots (we used Resene Pompadour, Resene Paper Doll and Resene Coral Tree) · Ruler · Paintbrush · Roller tray and a print or photograph to fit Step one Sand your frame down, getting rid of any varnish and leaving it with a smooth finish. Taking small steps, and celebrating those wins as you go, is the secret to achieving your goals. I love setting big goals because they allow me to focus on where I want to head. If I set targets that are within arm’s reach, then they won’t mean as much to me as bold and meaningful goals that require grit. People often feel overwhelmed by goal-setting. I get that. But that’s a good thing: goals can scare you into action. The trick is to break goals down into bite-sized pieces. Goal-setting works backwards.
