A LOT OF PEOPLE, especially women, have fears about hiking alone, with the most common fear being for their safety. Often people would ask me, “Are you not scared for your safety?” My answer is “No, I’m aware of my safety but certainly not scared”. Another fear is “Don’t you get lonely?” Yes, sometimes you can be lonely, but you honestly are so busy enjoying the hike and what nature has to offer that you don’t have time for feeling alone.
