They last performed together 11 years ago, so when it was time for Girls Aloud to announce a reunion tour, they put on quite a show.
To the delight of fans, Cheryl Tweedy, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle are going back on the road next year to mark their 21st anniversary, with 15 dates including gigs in Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, London and Birmingham.
The tour will also pay tribute to bandmate Sarah Harding, who died of breast cancer in September 2021, aged 39.
“Announcing the Girls Aloud Show arena tour next May/June 2024,” they said in a social media post. “A celebration of Sarah, our music & our incredible fans. We can’t wait to sing & dance with you again.”
Plans for a reunion had been under discussion…
