It’s official – bold, distinct palettes and strong graphic shapes are on the way in as the interior design world slowly moves away from pristine ambience and the ultra-minimalist fad. In the coming season, expect to embrace an aesthetic world that celebrates all things exuberant. Start small with a statement rug or an accent table, then gradually move on to larger staples such as fringed furniture or a saturated shade on a feature wall. Mix in more colours and patterns for a purposely over-decorated (but not overwhelming) setting.
