Ludwig replies Generally, the best roses are compact growers (about 1m tall). If you like the pickable, classical rose shape I would suggest knee-high (80cm to 1m) hybrid tea varieties such as ‘Duftwolke’ (coral) which is fragrant, ‘Easy Does It’ (apricot) or ‘Wessie Roos’ (red).
