Highveld and KZN Midlands In frosty areas, start veggies such as cabbages, lettuces, peas and tomatoes in seed trays indoors for spring transplanting into your garden. In less frosty areas, sow lettuce, peas, parsnip, radish, Swiss chard and turnip.
Winter rainfall areas Beetroot, celery, peas, radish, tomato, turnip.
Lowveld and KZN coast Beetroot, beans, brinjal, chilli, carrot, cucumber, mealie, melon, pumpkin, radish, squash, Swiss chard, tomato.
