Not long ago, due to a subscription to the web service Scribd, I took advantage of an opportunity to listen to a fascinating audio book of a true crime story called The Real Lolita. The basic idea underlying the book was that the author of the notorious bestselling novel Lolita, Vladimir Nabokov, had been moved to finish writing it based on a real-life story that had a similar theme.
