IN the ladies’ open, up-and-coming star of the sport Jesika Rennie secured the third win of her pointing career, on 12-year-old Diable De Sivola for trainer Will Ramsay. The gelding, who is by Noroit, easily pipped race favourite Tag Man and Lucy Brown into second, with Gina Andrews and the big winner Loughan eventual third.
“His jumping is fantastic; he takes lengths out of horses in the air,” said Jesika, who works for Nick Alexander. “Coming around the back straight, he was pulling my arms out; I just let him bowl along as he was travelling well.”
Jesika finished second in the mixed open with Will’s eight-year-old Harjo, behind Lisa O’Connor and Lucinda Russell’s nine-year-old Whatdeawant, by Aizavoski. This was the pair’s…
