Boyd’s Haps
For the second year in a row, Boyd Coddington, the sultan of Stanton, has held a hot rod and Harley show. This time the love fest attracted more than 350 street rods, 60 Harleys, 4,000 spectators, a number of car builders (including Bobby Alloway, Pete Chapouris, Barry Lobeck, Don Pilkenton, and Fat Jack Robinson), and $90,000 for local charities—Make A Wish Foundation, the Boys and Girls Clubs, and the Robert M. Pyles Elementary School. The biggest givers were members of the Roadsters of Los Angeles, Saddle Back Rods, Touring Tin, and Bay City Rodders car clubs, plus more than 250 Coddington employees and their guests.
