I had hit my limit. Last week, frustrated by my still-not-working living room floor plan, I finally sprang into action. The handsome Danish leather wing chair, one of the first purchases my husband Greg and I made together, had to go—straight into my son Teddy’s room. It replaced a boxy glider that we never used. Baby Teddy had hated being rocked. And I just plain hated it. The newly open spot in the living room? It now holds a potted fern—and some much-needed white space. GRILLED PINEAPPLE WITH MALTED WHIPPED CREAM Serves 4–6 2 cups heavy cream Kumquat syrup (see recipe online) ¼ cup malted milk powder 1 T vanilla extract 1 tsp. salt 1 whole pineapple 1. In a food processor, process the cream until it starts to thicken. Add ¼ cup of the kumquat syrup and the malted milk powder, vanilla extract, and salt.
