The Fixer Upper star has been sued a number of times, including for injuring a 1-year-old in a 2001 car accident (the case was eventually settled), court documents show. And in 1999, Chip stole his car off an impound lot after it had been towed. He pleaded guilty to a theft charge and was sentenced to six months probation. Four months later the court issued a warrant for Chip’s arrest after he violated terms of his probation by failing to report monthly to his probation officer and pay the $400 fine.
