Christian J. Michel, 57, extradited to India from Dubai on December 4, is the keeper of many secrets. The CBI named him in its FIR in the Rs 3,600 crore AgustaWestland VVIP helicopter deal, and believes he is key to putting together the pieces in the 2010 deal with the Italian firm Finmeccanica (now, Leonardo). Meanwhile, the NDA government, which has been at the receiving end of the Congress’s attack over crony capitalism in the Rafale deal, has some ammunition to fire back.
