‘Cacti’ collection DESIGNER: Bethany Linz Bethany’s wallpaper all starts with a single stroke. “I paint with gouache on thick watercolour paper,” says Bethany. “I like to show all the details of the layers and brushstrokes within my wallpaper, so I have a specialist photograph my art, then I blow it up and put it in repeat on the computer.” Inspired by wall murals that have aged beautifully with time, this Sydney-based designer is also thankful for the boons of modern technology. “With digital printing, you can go crazy with your ideas, and you can keep the handpainted look that shows every brushstroke but with an affordable price tag,” says Bethany.
