Triumph Motorcycles have released details on a series of new models for 2025 called ‘Icon Editions’. Limited to selected bikes in the Modern Classics range, each Icon Edition features special paint, along with unique graphics inspired by a version of the Triumph logo first seen in 1907. Like the Gold Line Editions for 2022, the Chrome Collection for 2023 and Stealth Editions for 2024, the Icon Editions are defined by special paint and other unique cosmetic touches. Icon Editions will not be limited in terms of a set production number. The 26-year-old from Madrid finished runner-up to Ducati Lenovo Team’s Francesco Bagnaia last year, but this year, the roles were reversed and Martin took the title from the two-time World Champion. Since the first RideADV ‘Bridge to Bridge’ was held in 2014, this biennial event has become a favourite with adventure bike riders. Yamaha Motor Australia have been backing Bridge to Bridge rides from the beginning and once again lent their support to the sixth edition, which ran from 9 to 16 November, 2024. Originally created to honour Tony Kirby, the late, great doyen of adventure riding and former publisher of SideTrack magazine, Bridge to Bridge is a multi-day ride that’s open to riders on any road registered adventure bike. Past editions have included runs from Sydney to Brisbane and vice versa, while COVID restrictions in 2020 limited the route to within New South Wales, specifically from Batemans Bay to Bathurst. The provisional calendar for the 2025 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship has been released. Comprised almost entirely of familiar circuits, the 2025 season will (or at least, should) see the production-based championship race at Balaton Park for the very first time. The new Hungarian circuit had been scheduled to make its WorldSBK debut in August, but the round was transferred to Estoril in Portugal and rescheduled to October. The 2025 WorldSBK Championship consists of 12 rounds, bookended by Phillip Island in February and Jerez in October. Once again, the Australian round will be the only one held outside of Europe and the UK, further diminishing the “world” relevance of World Superbikes.
