What started as a one-off event, then swiftly grew to become a full championship in the USA is now going global, with bagger racing to run an international series in 2026. The six-round, 12-race championship will be held at selected MotoGP rounds in the USA and Europe. The yet-to-be-named championship is supported by Harley-Davidson, who will provide race-prepared bikes for the entire grid. Unlike the MotoAmerica King of the Baggers series in the US that sees Harley Road Glides up against Indian Challengers (on which Australia’s Troy Herfoss won last year’s title), the international championship will use Harley-Davidson baggers exclusively, with up to 16 on the grid across eight two-rider teams. Ducati have confirmed one half of their factory team for the 2026 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK). As he aims to secure his first WorldSBK Championship this year, Nicolo Bulega has re-signed with Aruba.it Racing – Ducati for 2026, but Alvaro Bautista will exit the factory team after Ducati chose not to exercise an option for the coming season in the Spaniard’s two-year deal. For more than two decades, KTM has offered a limited run of ‘Rally Replica’ models annually. Inspired by the big 660 and 690 singles from the early 2000s, then the 450 that has successfully flown the flag for KTM at Dakar and other rally raid events since 2011, each year’s Rally Replica has been popular, particularly with privateer entrants in the annual marathon enduro. Initially, KTM offered just 45 Rally Replicas, but for the past few years, 100 units have been produced annually. Australia’s Senna Agius is now a Moto2 race winner. Riding for Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP, the 19-year-old from NSW achieved his debut victory in a frenetic British Grand Prix that came down to the final corners. Prior to the British GP, Agius’s best result this season had been third, but the Aussie showed pace early at Silverstone. Inside the top 10 for both Free Practise sessions, Agius was second fastest behind his team mate, Manuel Gonzalez, in the Final Practise session. To commemorate Daniel ‘Chucky’ Sanders’s victory at the 2025 Dakar – his first and KTM’s 20th - a ‘Sanders Edition’ of the 450 Rally Replica will be even closer to the factory bikes. Finished in the same Red Bull livery as the works machines, the Sanders Edition also features the Aussie’s #4 sticker kit from this year’s Dakar, with the front numberplate sticker personally signed by Sanders himself. Factory wheel rims with Michelin tyres, plus an additional set with street tyres, are supplied. Other factory parts fitted to the Sanders Edition include the brake discs, a Hinson clutch cover, painted handguards, titanium footpegs and a special Selle Dalla Valle seat. After years of ‘will he, won’t he’ speculation, it’s finally been confirmed that Toprak Razgatlioglu will race in MotoGP. The 28-year-old from Turkey, currently riding for ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK in the FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK), will join the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team in 2026 on a two-year deal. Who ‘El Turco’ will replace at Prima Pramac - Jack Miller or Miguel Oliveira - had not been revealed at time of writing. In little more than a decade, what started in Sydney has become a global phenomenon, with the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) seeing men – and women – dress dapper and ride their classic and classically-styled motorcycles to raise funds for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health programs.
