ROBOT DOG A video of a robot dog that demonstrates incredible mobility and balance has become a viral hit online. he electric canine, known as Spot, is the latest invention by a company owned by Google, called Boston Dynamics. Spot represents a smaller version of its BigDog quadrupedal robot brother which is undergoing development for military use. The two minute clip featuring Spot received over six million views on YouTube with the footage showing the sure-footed robot operating along the ground, jogging, walking up stairs and running up and down steep hills. The four-legged robot is designed for both indoor and outdoor operation and can also work in conjunction with another robot, also demonstrated in the video.
