DONKEY KONG IS COMING! The awesome platformer Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze – which was one of our favourite ever games on the Wii U – is coming to the Switch. DRAGON BALL FIGHTER Z PC, XBO, PS4 Krash Heads are no strangers to the awesome Dragon Ball series, but this latest entry is quite different. It goes away from the huge arenas and big 3D fights we’re used to, and instead goes to a more classic, side-on 2D view. At first you may be thinking, “what the?” but it’s actually worked out really well. The full roster of characters remain, and their moves aren’t overly complicated. It’s true that this can make some fighters feel the same as each other, but being able to jump in and work out how to unleash huge combos pretty quickly makes it a great multiplayer game. DUCK FINDS ITS FOOT A duck discovered with a missing foot shortly after hatching is waddling once more thanks to a group of teenage students who created a prosthetic leg for the animal. Using a 3D printer, the students at Armorel High School, in north-eastern Arkansas designed a new foot for the eight-month-old Indian Runner duck named Peg. Lab director at the school, Alicia Bell, claimed it took around 30 attempts before pupils Matthew Cook, Darshan Patel and Abby Simmons revealed a model perfect for Peg and said, “The very first model, it was not very good, but that was what we were learning.” Peg’s owner, Patsy Smith, believes a turtle was responsible for chewing off the bird’s foot and confessed her appreciation saying, “I’m just so grateful that there…

HOT GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY GOES LEGO One of our favourite games of last year, Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, has just had a good DLC pack arrive. It’s called Guardians of the Galaxy volume 2, and it comes with a new level and a bunch of new characters. The new level is based on the opening scene of the new movie, while the new characters are Kraglin, Stakar Ogord, Tullk, Ravager Rocket, Ego and a variation on Star-Lord. POKÉMON CRYSTAL SWITCH We’re sneaking this one into our Handy Stuff section because Pokémon Crystal began life as a Game Boy Color game was back in the year 2000. But it only ever came out in Japan! Now, after all these years, it’s available in Australia through the eShop. The game was an update to classic titles Pokémon Gold and Silver. It was the first game in the series to let you choose if you wanted to be a boy or a girl, and also the first with animations in the Pokémon battles.
