Few weapons in Fortnite are as fun as the new Pirate Cannon. Behaving much like the now vaulted Shopping Cart, you can move these things around the battlefield, aim them, and fire balls or players about the world. The former does 100 damage with a direct shot, or 50 damage in its area-of-effect (which is very small), making it a handy tool for revealing turtled enemy squads. How much time have you been spending in Creative Mode? To be honest, we’ve actually spent more time exploring the islands of other players than we have creating our own. There are some extremely talented people out there and they keep taking Fortnite in bizarre new directions. KEY ADDITIONS Since we last caught up, the Fortnite Creative Mode has continued to expand with even more tweaks and changes than we’ve seen in the main Battle Royale mode. The famous developer, whose created the Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and Titanfall series, had been working on a battle royale game in secret for two years. Fortnite is a little bit partial to playing sport. There’s basketball courts, a golf course, golf karts, an ice hockey puck and more to be found in the game. But Epic Games took it to the next level at the Australian Open of Tennis in mid-January. As soon as the snow biome arrived in Season 7, Fortnite fans had hoped a snowboard would come into play. There were hints on the slopes that some kind of device to help you get down the mountains would be coming, but its release ended up being delayed. In fact, it didn’t see the light of day until the end of Season 7, at which point the snow that once covered the entire map was restricted to just the southwest of the map.
