As International Women’s Day (IWD) rolls around again, I’m incredibly proud to work in an industry overflowing with talented women. Luckily for me, there are plenty in the pages of this issue! Fran Gulick’s designed a bold and striking chevron cover quilt, Zeïba Monod honours her Senegalese heritage with a stunning Ankara quilt, and Jo Hart even designed two FPP projects in celebration of IWD (to be admired all year round). It’s now celebrated annually on the 8th March and while the tradition of quilting extends far beyond that, it makes this month the perfect time to highlight women making waves in the craft right now.
