When did you first get into quilting and what was your initial driving force to start learning? I didn’t know anything about quilting except that my mother-in-law was a quilter. I saw that my husband was using the quilts made by her. She made a beautiful wall hanging with a Japanese Kimono theme for us when we married, and she also made some baby quilts for both of our boys when they were born. It was so obvious that she was a very experienced quilter, and all of her creations were one of a kind. I felt so lucky when one day she offered to teach me how to quilt.
