After many years in consumer journalism, I felt ready for a more flexible, personal path, so I took the leap into freelancing. RETRO AESTETIC PIXEL QUILTS A Pixel quilt uses squares of the same size to replicate an image in its pixel form. The end result often resembles a retro gaming aesthetic, but can also be used on a larger scale to replicate intricate photos. CREATING A BASIC PIXEL DESIGN 1 To create a basic pixel quilt pick a design that is simple and easily converted to square blocks. Think about 80s gaming style images or words and numbers.
