Apple’s streaming TV service, AppleTV+, went live on Friday 1 November, bringing a slew of new and original programming, straight to a huge range of Apple and other kit.
If you purchase an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch or Mac on or after 10 September, you’ll get a year’s worth of Apple TV+ for free, thereafter it costs a pretty reasonable £4.99 per month.
The question is: is it worth it? While Apple has managed to sign up some high-profile stars (and writers/directors) for its shows – including Jennifer Aniston, Jason Momoa, Steven Spielberg and writer Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders) – reaction so far has been mixed, with both positive and negative reviews for debut shows such as The Morning Show, Dickinson, For All Mankind and See.
