IN FEBRUARY 2007, nobody owned an iPhone or Apple TV, all the iPods had scroll wheels, and Macs were midway through the feline family, with Mac OS X Tiger. Oh, and a little publication called Mac|Life debuted on newsstands.
I wrote for another Future magazine back then, but everyone at the company was impressed by Mac|Life’s clear, clean design, premium format, and easygoing attitude. I loved the book from the start, and thankfully, lots of readers agreed. In that first year, Leslie Ayers’s incredible team – including longtime Mac|Life superstars Susie Ochs, Mark Rosenthal, and Robin Dick – established something special that was strong enough to last. Now, eight years later, here we are at issue 100.
