Story has never been the main focus of the Hitman series: killing people as anonymously and yet extravagantly as possible has been. That changed with Hitman: Absolution in 2014, the only entry to make it to the Mac until now. This new installment has a story, but it’s a tale told in the margins — in post-mission cutscenes, overheard dialog, and, later, specific mission objectives that nonetheless follow the regular template.
