In 1996, reigning Prem champions Man. United kicked off their title defence at Wimbledon. Their squad starred academy wonderkids Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt, and Phil and Gary Neville, but it was one of their teammates who grabbed the headlines!

With the game at Selhurst Park ticking down, David Beckham picked up the ball on the halfway line and spotted the Wimbledon keeper off his line. Without taking a touch, the winger unleashed a perfect shot and lobbed Neil Sullivan from 60 yards!
