Having written soap operas for thirteen years, I know that a teleserye heroine has either of only two character motivations – search or revenge. It was a day of glamour, beauty and—of course—safety. Makeup artists and hairstylists were prepping their socially distanced work stations while the fashion team was ensconced at a separate room. As the personalities arrived, each one of them and their entourage was greeted by a warm smile and an antigen swab test, in keeping with the required safety protocols. This being the Avignon Clinic, the health precautions employed were stringent and everyone dutifully kept their mask on and their distance at all the necessary times.
