Despite the many challenges of crime, gender-based violence, corruption, joblessness even load-shedding, there remains an inherent belief of self-determination, purpose and possibilities for all our people living under the African sun.
The youth of 1976 stood together with a collective solidarity, advocating against an oppressive education system. Today the struggle for equality and justice for all continues. In South Africa, the gap between the rich and the poor is a travesty of justice. The high unemployment rates, especially among our youth, is a deep betrayal of the memory of the 1976 youth.
In South Africa and Africa, there are mountains of inequality to climb.…
