South Africa’s delegation at COP29, which commenced yesterday in Baku, Azerbaijan, has expressed a strong hope for the practical operationalisation, financing, and resourcing of the newly-established Loss and Damage Fund.
This comes as the nation’s senior representatives from the Presidential Climate Commission (PCC), including executive director Dr Crispian Olver and Minister of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment Dr Dion George, were preparing to engage with global leaders on pressing climate issues.
