It’s likely you haven’t even seen a new ’96 Mercedes E-class on the road yet. But that hasn’t kept Carlsson Autotechnik from developing a whole range of performance products for the new sedan. That includes suspension pieces, wheels up to 19 inches in diameter, six-piston alloy brakes, and engine parts, including enough goodies to compel 425 horsepower out of the E420’s 4.2-liter V-8. The most visible pieces, though, are new body bits (front spoiler, side aprons, rear apron, and rear spoiler), which visually lower the car and, Carlsson claims, ensure brake ventilation and oil-cooler effectiveness.
