Celine Dion is dealing with more personal heartache, after her niece, Brigitte , was killed in a car accident. “Celine is absolutely devastated,” an insider reveals. “That family has gone through so much, this couldn’t have happened at a worse time.” Brigitte, a 51-year-old mother, was the daughter of Celine’s older brother Clément. The fatal road crash occurred in Quebec just after Christmas. This new tragedy comes shortly after Celine’s sister Claudette revealed that the 55-year-old singer’s health continues to decline following her diagnosis with the serious neurological condition, stiffperson syndrome. The singer, 76, has announced he is releasing a behindthe-scenes tour book in September, which comes hot on the heels of his 2019 autobiography Me. FRESH lychees Lychees are in season and abundant at this time of year. For a small fruit, they pack a surprising nutritional punch, with seven lychees (one serve) containing as much vitamin C as a small orange, and second only to strawberries in antioxidant levels. Choose fruit with skin that is pink or red, as lychees do not continue to ripen once picked. Store lychees at room temperature for two to three days, or wrapped in plastic in the fridge for five to seven days. They may also be frozen for up to six months. Australian women have been quietly living with pain for decades. But change is finally afoot. An inquiry into women’s pain is set to be held in Victoria; the first of its kind Australia wide. It comes after a survey conducted with Victorian women revealed that two in five respondents suffer from chronic pain. Victorian premier Jacinta Allan wasn’t surprised by the survey results.
