GREEN MACHINE The Toyota Altezza is fast becoming an affordable rear-wheel-drive platform for people to build on, a fact the likes of Sunny are taking advantage of. After blowing the original Beams 3SGE several times, Sunny decided to build it with an HKS stroker kit from the US and Kelford cams to extract a bit more power. There’s also a much larger Garrett turbo this time around to provide more boost than the smaller unit previously in use. To back the new engine, Sunny chose a TRD five-speed gearbox, which should hold up to the fury.
