In earlier phases of development, in which there were slaves and serfs, it was often not possible for the individual to really be able to choose freely. If he wanted to choose an occupation or spouse, these life steps were often dependent on the consent of his master, his ruler or a family member. Slavery, however, was an aberration, a misstep and a blight on humanity which was a grave transgression against the Laws of Creation, not a part of normal development. With the maturing of humanity, the freedom of the individual to be able to implement his own free will also grows.
