One of my lecturers at university had a bugbear about us students always going to Wikipedia when faced with a new question. American super-tuner, APR, recently released its Carbon Fibre Body Kit for the Mk8 GTI which, on first impression, looks absolutely stunning as you’d imagine. When we signed off with Neil Montgomery last time there were plans afoot to source a TTRS engine for his beloved Mk5. The 43-year-old filled us in on what happened next: “I’ve still got the Mk5. Just to recap, last time, after a measure up, our Midge headed up to Teng Tools in Bedford to collect a bunch of its tools and tool boxes, so he could kit out the back of our Project Caddy and give it a real Race Support appearance. You’ll probably remember that he fitted a whopping tower unit inside the rear doors, and a lower level tool box in the centre of the van to house the air tank, with another pair tool boxes facing out of each sliding door.
